What can you do with Split PDF?
Splitting saves part of a PDF as new files — for example, sending only one chapter of a report, separating a stack of scanned documents, or saving every page as its own file. Pages are copied as they are, so the quality does not change.
Three ways to split
| Method | Example | Result |
|---|---|---|
| By page ranges | 1-3, 4-6, 7- | 3 PDFs: pages 1-3, pages 4-6, and page 7 to the end |
| Every N pages | 2 (10-page file) | 5 PDFs with 2 pages each; enter 1 to save every page separately |
| Extract pages into one PDF | 1, 3, 5-8 | 1 PDF with pages 1, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8 |
When the result is more than one file, they are downloaded together as a ZIP file. Each file is named after the original and the pages it contains, e.g. report-1-3.pdf.
How to use
- Click "Choose PDF file" or drag a file onto the page.
- Pick a method and enter page numbers, or click pages in the preview (Shift+click selects a range). Highlighted pages are included; when splitting into several files, each page shows which file it goes to.
- Click "Split and download".
Page range format

FAQ
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF files are read and processed entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing is sent to our server, so it also works for confidential documents.
How do I save every page as a separate PDF?
Choose "Every N pages" and enter 1. You will get one PDF per page, downloaded together as a ZIP file.
How do I open the ZIP file?
On Windows and macOS, double-click it. On iPhone, open it in the Files app; most Android file managers can open ZIP files too.
Why is a password-protected PDF rejected?
Encrypted PDFs cannot be edited without the password. Open the file with its password in your PDF reader, save or print a copy without protection (if you are allowed to), then use that copy.
